Communities Unlimited Inc., is seeking to fill a position for a Food Safety Trainer based in our Memphis, Tennessee office. The primary function of the Food Safety Trainer is to provide support to small-scale fruit and vegetable farmers in the Mid-South to implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Handling Practices (GHP) and secure group-based certification. This involves the provision of traditional training/workshops and regular on-farm follow-up to assist with implementation and preparations for audit. Travel to farms through the Mid-South, including eastern Arkansas, northern Mississippi and western Tennessee is required and the position is based in Memphis, TN.

CU was selected by the USDA as the Memphis/Mid-South Food LINC value chain coordinator.
