Funding to help low-income rural homeowners impacted by presidentially declared disasters
DISASTER RECOVERY REPAIR GRANTS
What it is
This program provides long-term recovery assistance to low-income rural homeowners impacted by a presidentially declared disaster who were unserved or underserved through initial state or federal disaster relief operations.
Ready to Recover?
We understand that disaster recovery is even harder for families living in rural communities where resources are limited and difficult to access.
The Housing Team at Communities Unlimited (CU) is here to help low-income homeowners in areas affected by presidentially declared disasters make needed repairs to their homes. Through the USDA Rural Development Rural Disaster Home Repair and Section 504 Home Repair Programs, eligible homeowners in designated rural disaster areas can access grants to repair disaster-related home damage. CU’s Housing Team will provide application assistance to help residents apply for funding and understand the repair process.
