Healthy Foods
SERVICES

Healthy Foods Initiatives are the catalyst for change in a community’s eating habits towards a healthier, locally-grown diet. We support many healthy foods initiatives that initiate healthier eating in public schools and the public as a whole.

For many generations, small-scale farmers have been at the core of a healthy community both physically and economically. We support the continued success of small-scale farmers by assisting them with methods to market their produce. Those methods can focus on open markets or organized markets such as the public school system.

Communities Unlimited’s Healthy Foods Department supports the origination and continuation of community farmer’s markets. We believe that a healthy community starts with food grown locally. A healthy diet is important for the physical and economic health of the community.
