Funding to help water systems, wastewater systems, and municipalities complete required audits and reports needed for compliance
AUDITS & REPORTS LOANS
What it is
This program ensures that lack of immediate funding does not become a barrier to compliance or to accessing broader funding opportunities. By easing the financial burden of required reporting, we helps communities maintain safe, sustainable, and well-documented infrastructure systems. Our loans support rural systems who deliver clean, safe water to the people who rely on them.

Water systems, wastewater systems, and municipalities are often required to complete audits and various types of reports on an annual basis. These reporting requirements may stem from state or federal regulations, or they may be necessary when applying for financial assistance such as grants, low-interest loans, or infrastructure funding.
In many cases, these reports—such as financial audits, engineering assessments, or environmental impact studies—are critical for demonstrating compliance, identifying system needs, and securing future funding.
CU’s Audits and Reports Loan Program offers loans to water systems, as well as municipalities, cover the costs associated with preparing and completing these required reports.
