Meet Our New Director Of Lending
Michael Rivera
Communities Unlimited (CU) announces Michael Rivera as the new Director of Lending. Michael will oversee all aspects of the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) at Communities Unlimited.

CU was certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) 2001. CU has over $17 million in assets and has made over $45 million in loans to small rural communities and small businesses in 24 states.
Since joining CU in 2022, Rivera has held the Director of Nuestra Casa, expanding and growing our Nuestra Casa Loan Program, which is focused on serving the people of Cameron, Hidalgo, and Starr counties in Texas. In the past year, the Nuestra Casa Loan Program has provided over 200 home improvement loans to residents of the colonias in South Texas.
