Gordon, AL

Communities Unlimited staff began working with the Town of Gordon, AL, in April 2019. A rate study was conducted to ensure the water system was able to meet all of their financial obligations. They, like many other communities, needed to raise their water rates, which was approved by the mayor, the town council and the residents. They also purchased the QuickBooks program to improve financial monitoring and reporting. CU staff trained the town clerk on QuickBooks as well as other employees on financial record-keeping and basic accounting.
